Cookware for people who plan weekends around bread
If you have ever baked a sourdough loaf in a cast iron Dutch oven, you know the moment.
You lift the lid, the steam hits, the crust crackles, and for a second you forget everything else in the kitchen.
That moment is where Lareina started.
We make a small range of cast iron pieces for people who care about good bread and simple food, and who want tools that feel solid in the hand and easy to live with every week.
Where this began
Like most home bakers, we tried all the usual gear.
Thin tins that twist and warp after a few hot bakes. Coatings that promise 'non-stick' then start flaking just when you finally trust them. Dark corners that grab your loaf so hard you have to dig it out with a knife.
At some point it stops being fun.
We wanted something better: the heat and sear of traditional cast iron, without the stress of a high-maintenance seasoning routine and without mystery coatings you are scared to scratch.
So we decided to focus on one thing and do it well: reliable cookware that helps you bake better bread and cook better food, again and again.
What we stand for
At Lareina, we try to keep things simple so you can focus on the food.
That means thick cast iron for steady heat, smooth interiors that are more forgiving when dough sticks, and clear care instructions that do not feel like a second job.
On our enamelled pieces there is no seasoning routine to protect. Clean, dry, and regular use are enough to keep them in good shape. For non-stick interiors, we are upfront about how to use them, what they are made for, and how to get the best life out of them.
We also keep the range small on purpose. Every new piece has to earn a place in a small kitchen and actually make your baking or cooking easier, not just look pretty on a shelf.
If you get a little too excited about crumb and crust, if you are tired of flimsy bakeware that cannot keep up, and you like the idea of a few heavy, trustworthy pieces that just work, you are in the right place.
Make something good this weekend.
